Accelerating Data-Driven Decisions: How Arrayo Streamlined Data Integration and Reporting for a Biopharma Innovator

Our client is a biopharmaceutical company pursuing novel therapeutics for nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), also known as metabolic dysfunction associated steatohepatitis (MASH).

They were struggling with integrating data from heterogeneous sources with different structures. Additionally, the lack of automation in handling internal data, such as extracting daily data from spreadsheets sent via email, led to time-consuming, manual processes that were prone to errors. The complexity and inconsistency of the data made it difficult to generate actionable insights in a timely manner.

Delivery

Arrayo’s approach focused on streamlining the data engineering processes through the development of automated data pipelines. We leveraged a combination of Azure tools, including Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Synapse, to aggregate and process data from multiple sources. This allowed us to efficiently handle and transform the data into a consistent format ready for analysis. Additionally, we implemented automation to handle routine tasks like extracting and organizing data from daily email reports, freeing up valuable time for the client’s team to focus on more strategic activities.

Arrayo developed and deployed several automated data pipelines using Azure technologies. These pipelines pulled data from both external sources (such as external APIs or databases) and internal sources (like daily email reports). The data was then processed, cleaned, and stored in Azure Synapse, creating a centralized data lake. From there, we generated Power BI reports that provided valuable insights for the client’s decision-making processes. The implementation was carried out in phases, with a clear timeline and milestones. The key activities included designing the data architecture, developing the pipelines, and creating the final Power BI reports.

As a result of Arrayo’s solution, our client experienced significant improvements in data management.
