We are looking for a seasoned Data Visualization Lead to develop Business Intelligence and Analytical solutions for users primarily using  Tableau. Background in Business Intelligence, Data Visualization, and Business Analysis is required. You will work directly with business users and project managers to develop analytics and visualization tools that will help them visualize their data, discover and share insights, and ultimately make better decisions. You will have the opportunity to learn about multiple businesses within the Biotechnology industry and work directly with senior managers and SMEs on building BI solutions to support their projects and day-to-day business needs.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, design and develop end-to-end business analytics solutions, interactive data visualizations, and dashboards with Tableau.
• Translate business needs to technical specifications.
• Gather requirements, analyze data, and create proof of concepts.
• Design functional specifications for BI dashboards and reports.
• Connect to and transform data with advanced data preparation capabilities.
• Document, design, build and deploy BI models.
• Develop tabular and multidimensional models.
• Migrate existing dashboards from tools such as Looker  to Tableau.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate data from multiple systems.
• Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses.
• Craft and execute ad hoc queries.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of expert-level skills in data visualization design and development experience with a combination of Looker, Tableau, or Shiny.
• Impeccable business partnering and communication skills coupled with ability to understand context/use cases and train end users.
• Solid understanding of commercial/sales Operations and/or human resource areas and ability to deliver contextually relevant and actionable solutions for business users in these areas.
• Experience in end-to-end BI project lifecycle (requirements, design, testing, deployment, and training).
• Bold, out-of-the-box thinker on visualization design; ability to propose best practices and visualization data story-telling design ideas to business users to help them refine requirements.
• Strong ETL, data modeling and data wrangling skills including good understanding of SQL and cloud data warehousing (Redshift/Snowflake)
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Positive and entrepreneurial attitude.
• Master’s degree in computer science or Life Sciences preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of biotech industry is a plus.
