Significant experience and track record of delivery of major Data Management initiatives at large and complex financial institutions
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business, Technology or Finance
Strong capital markets experience and deep understanding of front to back processes
Strong experience in regulatory projects is preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills including technical writing skills
Excellent knowledge of MS Office Suite (PPT, Excel, Project, SharePoint)
Previous experience in Regulatory Reporting / Risk / Finance / Data Analytics / Operations / Controls / Systems Analysis / Quality Assurance
Proven experience in eliciting requirements and generating process documentation

We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Data Governance/Management Consultant to join our Financial Services consulting team working on mission critical Enterprise Data Management programs at one of our multinational investment banking clients. As a Consultant, you will work on-site at our client as part of a cohesive consulting team and have interactions with senior stakeholders in addition to opportunities to own deliverables.
The Enterprise Data Management group is responsible for effective and consistent Data Management of the bank’s data which is deemed critical.
In order to improve the overall quality of the data across the firm, identify Critical Data Elements (CDEs) that are critical to business processes, regulatory reports as well as risk calculation
Data Lineage – Document business process, controls and technical data flows for in-scope reports / CDEs
Governance – Drive the creation and adoption of enterprise data governance policies and standards
Chairing data quality working groups and manage DQ project to measure, monitor and remediate data quality for each identified CDE. The goal is to automate DQ to stop data problems before they affect risk and reg reporting instead of reacting after the problems happen
Implement DQ Framework, DQ Indicators and assurance standards for issue identification, prioritization and remediation
Data Quality Profiling – Lead data quality workshops to recommend and capture business rules for the identified CDEs
Data Quality Monitoring – Track and monitor the data quality issues that are discovered and provide status to senior management
Data Quality Issue Remediation – Work with downstream business end-users in order to provide tactical data quality remediation; work with upstream source systems’ Operations and IT in order to provide strategic data quality remediation work effort analysis, monitor progress and report status to senior management
Business Glossary – Map CDE ownership across the firm and implement an enterprise-wide solution
Data Catalog – Work across the firm to build and implement an enterprise-wide solution to collect metadata, combined with data management and search tools
Tooling – Configuration in Data Governance tool and other supporting tools to stand up standardized solutions
Integrate approaches and standards into BAU for the firm
Yearly Gross Salary: $90k – $180k
